Design the connection around the site
Identify the supply line, operating pressure, isolation point and route to the dispenser. Ask whether the selected model requires a drain and how its filters can be accessed. A connection that is convenient during installation may be awkward when a cartridge needs replacement. Keep the water path and electrical installation appropriate for the environment.
What a direct pipe-in dispenser installation needs
Direct-in water dispensers use a fixed connection to the incoming supply. The installation review has two boundaries: water reaching the inlet and water leaving the dispensing outlet. Confirm the inlet pressure range, fitted treatment stages and cleaning arrangement. Where hot and cold water are required, compare their individual tanks and recovery data. This keeps the purchase decision connected to the pantry’s actual use.
| Requirement | What to compare | What to confirm |
|---|---|---|
| Supply connection | Locate a suitable isolation point | Check pressure while the building is using water |
| Temperature options | List hot, ambient and cold demand separately | Nominal tank size is not a refill-time guarantee |
| Filtration access | Locate cartridges and service panels | Keep replacements possible after installation |
A selection mistake to avoid
A quoted dispenser and an installed dispenser are different scopes. Establish whether pipework, connections and commissioning are included in the Sabah quotation.
How do the W3501 models differ in the published catalogue?
The W3501-3C listing shows 1.5 L hot and 3.0 L cold tanks. W3501-3F Big Tank shows 4.0 L hot and 5.0 L cold tanks. These are storage figures, not recovery ratings.
Planning the enquiry in Sabah
Compare hot, ambient and cold options against how the workplace actually prepares drinks. Request tank and recovery information for each temperature. SWFI’s commercial catalogue includes direct-in dispensers; current model availability and installation scope should be confirmed in the quotation. Send photographs of the proposed position and pipe connection to support the review.
Information to prepare
- Water connection and any drainage requirement
- Hot, ambient and cold capacity by model
- Isolation valve and filter replacement access
Can any pipe-in model be installed at any site?
No. Water quality, pressure, space and electrical requirements must be compatible with the specific model. A site review helps establish the required installation work.
Discuss your requirement with SWFI
Share your site location and the information listed above. SWFI can review the requirement; equipment selection, supply and service scope are subject to technical suitability and confirmation.
